Herbarium Distillation 29 wins IWSC Silver Award 2021

Herbarium Drinks are thrilled that our Distillation 29 received a SILVER award in the low/no category at the prestigious International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) 2021.

Herbarium Distillation 29 earned a score of 91 from the panel of judges in a blind tasting to earn its silver award. The judges tasting notes were: "Perfumed floral and spicy nose with clove, citrus and juniper, perfume lingering on the palate with strong aniseed and cedarwood shining through."

The increasing popularity of the mindful drinking movement is showing no signs of slowing if the IWSC results are anything to go by. For 2021, the world’s oldest drinks competition saw a marked increase in the number of entries for its low and no alcohol categories, growing 389% compared to 2020 competition entries.

The IWSC is the world’s original wine and spirit competition.

  • Founded in 1969 by chemist Anton Massel, he created the competition to reward excellence in drinks worldwide, ensuring recognition for the very best wines and spirits. This remains the purpose of the IWSC today.
  • For more than 50 years the IWSC has overseen the rigorous judging of wines and spirits in order to share the results with a global audience of drinks enthusiasts.
  • Proud to set the international benchmark for quality, the IWSC’s annual results are decided by an impartial judging panel of the world’s leading wine and spirits experts including Master Sommeliers, Master of Wines, Master Distillers and Blenders.
